Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by beauty messaging. This sparked my research into how the beauty industry targets girls early, fueling insecurities before we even understand them. With the rise of TikTok, trends move faster than ever, growing more ridiculous by the minute. I wanted to pull these trends out of the scroll and into real life, where they can be seen for what they are: a trap. This messaging campaign uses oversized print ads featuring today’s most popular beauty trends to show how absurd they look off your phone screen.
